Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular[]

Movie[]

Bug-a-Boo arrives later on in the film, having been the last monster Hannah meets. He is first heard off-screen, yelling from the basement and asking if Scary Godmother's already started the party, to which she responds by stating that it wouldn't be an actual party without him around and inviting him to head up so he could enjoy as well. Bug-a-Boo takes the invitation and slams the door open, loudly announcing his presence and scaring Hannah in the process, who screams upon seeing him up close. Shocked at seeing a human on the Fright Side, Bug-a-Boo screams in tandem with her, gathering the attention of everyone else. The scream doesn't last long and both are left staring at each other as Scary Godmother tries to ease the tension by introducing Hannah to Bug-a-Boo, the latter taking a few steps in anticipation until Hannah begins to scream once more, causing him to take a step back and make a throwaway comment of working overtime due to him inadvertently scaring her. He then steps towards Hannah, encouraging her to calm down but only scaring her more to the point of running away in horror, which causes Bug-a-Boo to chase after her, and Scary Godmother following him, telling him that he's just scaring her more.

A long chase later ensues with the rest of the guests but is abruptly stopped by Hannah shining a flashlight at Bug-a-Boo, whose multiple eyes contract from the light and confuse the little girl. When Scary Godmother makes a half-baked excuse as to why Bug-a-Boo isn't getting hurt from the light, Bug-a-Boo thanks her and, after getting yelled at by Hannah, who tells him to leave, he gets saddened and tries to hide back in the basement, to the rest of the guests' dismay. Scary Godmother tries to convince Bug-a-Boo to stay but the monster, still discouraged due to Hannah's words, brushes her off, making the other guests try and convince him as well. Hannah, feeling guilty for her words, walks up to Bug-a-Boo and admits that 'maybe he isn't that mean after all', which prompts Bug-a-Boo to admit that while monsters are big and scary, they aren't mean in any way, making Hannah agree and Bug-a-Boo flustered at her unintentional compliment. When Scary Godmother asks if he's going to stay, Bug-a-Boo agrees, commenting that the Spook House is technically his house so he can't leave anyway. A dance montage happens right afterward.

Bug-a-Boo later appears again when Scary Godmother calls for a 'broommate huddle' to talk about their lack of snacks due to Harry eating them all. Initially, he doesn't talk at all during the huddle but he later expresses his hunger when Scary Godmother does the same and immediately suggests pizza, with the rest of the guests agreeing with him. When Harry asks them what kind of pizzas they prefer, he and Hannah both ask for one with cheese and olives, exchanging a high-five afterward. Hannah, having realized that she shares the same taste in pizza as him, questions him, admitting that she thought he ate little girls, amusing Bug-a-Boo, who scares her by saying that 'little girls make the crusts go soggy' before telling her that he just scares children since eating them would 'put him out of a job', their conversation than getting interrupted by Harry, who tells them to hurry up with their pizza orders, annoying the monster.

Once the pizza arrives and Scary Godmother realizes she and Skully don't have money, Skully suggests that they check Bug-a-Boo if he has any from hiding under beds all the time. Scary Godmother agrees and the two, accompanied by Hannah, sneak over to Bug-a-Boo, tackling him and rummaging his fur for any money, tickling the monster greatly until they finally get the money they need to pay back the pizzas Harry bought. He is then seen enjoying the pizza with Hannah, happily noting how they both like the same toppings and attempting to eat his slice before getting interrupted by Orson. When Orson tries to offer his blood-covered pizza, both he and Hannah hesitate, trying to find an excuse till Hannah makes up a lie about eating garlic with their pizza, with Bug-a-Boo following along once he realizes her plan. Both of them sigh in relief when Orson pulls his slice away, thanking them for saving him from having an allergic attack.

As Hannah is about to leave the Fright Side, she offers Bug-a-Boo a candy as an apology for misjudging him/ The monster takes it eagerly and then asks Hannah how she knew monsters liked candy and when Hannah tells him about her cousin and how he told her that monsters will eat her if she didn't offer them candy, he laughs along with the other guests, amused at the ridiculousness of her words. When Hannah tells them more about Jimmy, Bug-a-Boo interrupts her, asking her if this 'Jimmy' is the same one who told her that he eats little girls. When Hannah agrees, Bug-a-Boo confirms that this 'Jimmy' is the same one he scares every other week, surprising Hannah, who asks him if Big Kids get scared, Bug-a-Boo agrees and tells her that he knows every kid's fears due to hiding under their beds all the time. When Scary Godmother begins relaying her plan to the others, Bug-a-Boo listens in intently, ready to get back at Jimmy and his friends for their treatment of Hannah.

Bug-a-Boo makes a short appearance during Scary Godmother's plan to scare Jimmy and his friends, acting as the 'monster in the basement' when the kids hide inside there via Scary Godmother's 'guidance' before getting blinded by Hannah's flashlight, allowing the kids to run away from him and helping Hannah become their 'savior'. After the kids run out and Hannah leaves the Spook House, he arrives once more, ascending from the basement to join the others in their chatter before getting angered by Harry once more, being one of the first people to catch up to him when the werewolf tries to escape.
