Harry is an albino werewolf who lives in the Fright Side with his mother.

Personality[]

Harry is known to be a very distateful individual in the Fright Side, with almost all the monsters in the Fright Side considering him a nuisance, and for good reason too. He is insensitive, greedy, selfish, lazy, and incredibly messy. He is also very self-centered and is not stranger to inconveniencing someone if it fulfills his desires, uncaring of their status/title, as shown when he is openly demanding the vampire family constantly for food and then insulting their 'lack of accomodations' for him after breaking Orson's bed and almost killing them had Orson not been resourceful[1].

Appearance[]

Harry is a Werewolf with grey fur and red eyes matched with yellow scleras. He has a heavy build and wears a blue, lamb-patterned shirt.

Relationships[]

Irene LeGevaudan[]

Harry's mother. Despite their relation, Harry shows little appreciation towards her, treating her more like a slave rather than his mother.

Scary Godmother[]

Scary Godmother is Harry's friend. Despite Scary Godmother's patience towards him, he still doesn't fail to make her snap and reach her breaking point due to his selfish and inconsiderate nature.

Skully Pettibone[]

Skully Pettibone is Harry's 'friend'. Though they don't talk often, most of their interactions are hostile, with Skully consistently making fun of him and relishing at his discomfort while Harry often eats all of Skully's treats without leaving any for the other guests, enraging the skeleton.

Bug-a-Boo[]

Bug-a-Boo is Harry's friend. He attempts to help Harry find a job[2] and even uses him as a temporarily replacement when he discovers that Harry is homeless and in need of support[2].

Count Max[]

Count Max is Harry's friend. Although Max is often angered at his presence and finds his lack of manners disgusting, he still ends up going to him for some advice after an argument with Ruby and even pays for the food he gets when Harry leads him to a bar[3]. Unlike the movie, though, the books show a friedlier side to Harry, as he genuinely wants to help Max out (despite him focusing on the food more than Max's problem) and indirectly makes Max realize that his 'Old-Tyme' traditions aren't as great as he describes them to be[3].

Orson[]

Orson is Harry's friend and comic book buddy. Unlike his father, Orson is kinder to Harry and even offers he stay at his parents' place, only telling him to get out when he almost gets burned by the sun due to Harry breaking his bed. Despite this, he seems to show no resentment towards him. Harry, meanwhile, is very easygoing towards Orson and often trades his comic books with him in exchange for food,[2]

Hannah Marie[]

Hannah Marie is Harry's friend. Unlike the monsters and his mother, he is kinder towards Hannah and is willing to help her in scaring Jimmy and his friends, although reluctant. In the books, Harry is a more negative influence towards Hannah, encouraging a more lazy lifestyle towards her, to Scary Godmother's disdain[2].

Trivia[]

  • Harry is loosely based off of a real life roommate, series creator, Jill Thompson once lived with.
  • He wears a sheep pattern on his shirt, which is a nod to a popular phrase "A wolf in sheep's clothing"
  • He shares the same voice actor as Bug-A-Boo (Garry Chalk)
  • According to Revenge of Jimmy, Harry presides at Ackerman Forest, Frightside.
  • In the comics. Jill Thompson herself has commented on how easily Harry would grab the spotlight, and she had to put in some considerable effort in order to not center all the stories around him.
